That's a question I've been asking myself. As for me, I couldn't care less. There are better things to do, like sitting here answering your question about why everyone's obsessed with football.

I wouldn't call it an obsession. More like we just like the sport. Everyone has different reasons for liking it. My reason is that it's an exciting sport. But I wouldn't question anyone who didn't like it. I don't like golf, but I know a lot of people who do. Everyone has different tastes. I just like the concept of football. I played when I was in 9th grade. The only reason I started was cuz a friend dared me to, but afterward I enjoyed it. So that's why i like it. And it's ok not to like it also.

Because it's a complex game that requires tremendous athleticism to participate. It has the colors, the personalities, the crowds, the commercial appeal....ya gotta love it! Or, not....
I've coached football at the youth level for the last 10 years. I'd never give it up. The rewards are amazing.

It gets addictive when you follow it for a season...especially a season like this years I didn't watch any football last year.
It's just like any other sport in that respect. Nothing wrong with it...I wouldn't call it obsessed..just being a fan.

Everyone needs something to take pride in. Have you ever been to your home team's game? It's incredible- The national anthem -kick -off, half- time show the opposing fans- home team fans. Oh and don't forget the BEER! The best damned 3+ hours of the week!!

have faith me in soccer loving countries it worse gloryhunters and bandwagoners right here euro soccer isn't so passionate purely the nationwide league yet people who watch the euro leagues are fvcking gloryhunters from Barca to guy United being an arsenal fan is almost somewhat island in an ocean easy

I think people seem to be bigger fans with football because unlike the other major sports like baseball and hockey; football is only played weekly.

well lets see its the greatest sport out there. you watch all these guys go out there and push themselves to the fullest and if you are lucky you get to watch your team go to the superbowl. and besides that when else do you get to see that many guys who for the most part are pretty much in great shape in tight pants bent over come on girl that a long is enough to make me watch lol
