How do you check the OBD on 1994 buicks? Would it be the same as a 1994 Chevy pickup? I have a book for the truck, and the buick isnt mine, so im not getting a book for it. I hope someone has a website that can help me ( and my friend ) out.

This can be done with a paper clip.if you stick a paperclip in the diagnostic connecter, top row, last two holes on the right.the check engine light will flash the codes.you count the flashes.there will be a short break in the flashes, for instance if it flashes twice and stops and then flashes 3 times and stops that is a code 23.there may be more than 1 code stored at a time. take you time and watch the flashes.other codes will flash too.when a code 12 flashes it is finished with the codes.the diagnostic connector is under the dash.it is a black rectangular connector with 16 holes in it.

, 1994 is possibly obd2, there is no 1.5. Get your codes scanned and see if it obd2. All gm obd1 codes retrieve the same.
