Mount Chimborazo in Ecuador

While most people recognize Mount Everest as the highest point on earth with 8850m above sea level, Mount Chimborazo (6310m above sea level) is actually the highest point because the planet is widest at the equator. The summit of Mount Chimborazo is then 3219 m further from the center of the earth than Mount Everest, making it the highest point. On the summit of Mount Chimborazo people will weigh less than any other location on earth.

Mount verest. The height of Mount Everest has been determined to be 8,850 m (29,035 ft). The mountain’s actual height, and the claim that Everest is the highest mountain in the world, have long been disputed. But scientific surveys completed in the early 1990s continued to support evidence that Everest is the highest mountain in the world. In fact, the mountain is rising a few millimeters each year due to geological forces. Global Positioning System (GPS) has been installed on Mount Everest for the purpose of detecting slight rates of geological uplift.

Mount Everest 8850m (29,035ft) Asia
However, as "Some one on Earth" up^there said, the dormant volcano Mauna Kea (on the Big Island of Hawaii) could be considered the tallest mountain in the world. If you measure it from its base in the Hawaiian Trough (3,300 fathoms deep) to its summit of 13,796 feet, it reaches a height of 33,476 feet.

EDIT: After a little research I found the the "Farthest point from the center of the Earth" is Franz's answer down↓there, Mount Chimborazo in Ecuador. So it looks like the answer depends on where you're measuring from.
