i too as well personally think this question is lame also. you should read the bible more often. and yes. yes it is.

Yes it is a sin in Christianity- because your thoughts and actions are suppossed to be christ like if you are a christian. However, I believe that We are saved by Grace not by works (meaning Christ doesnt have to die on the cross every day to forgive our sins) when he did it - it was for all of the sin - a gift from God. He gave us the option to accept the Gift. Choices and accountability. Its also not my place or anyone else's to judge you for doing things your way.. Your choice, Your consequence! Being judgmental is just a much a sin as sex before marriage. And no the question isnt stupid or lame.

Yes, sex outside of marriage either before marriage or having sex with someone else while married is a sin.

I took a class at my college called The Foundations of Christian Thought. We went over a lot of issues, and in discussing the book of Songs of Solomon, we came across a verse that says to not awaken the desire before the time is right. This book of the Bible focuses on the relationship of a man and woman and this verse calls them to wait until marriage to have sex. I believe that sex before marriage is a sin.

Well the bible does say that you should have a marriage bond before you get married.
I am living with my boyfriend and have been for six months now. We are both christian (in fact he use to be a pastor) We are having a hard time with living with each other but I believe that god knows that we are commited to each other and in our eyes we already are married.
The bible does say what god joins together let no man put usunder....

Taht question is not lame, because no culture or beliefs of another person is lame, some Christians consider sex before marraige to be lame, but other christains don't think so. Just depends on what and who you talk to.

Oddly enough this is an oxymoron! In Gods eyes if you have sex you are married. (remember the women at the well?) So how can there be pre-marital sex? I can see how you can have adultery by having sex with more than one person, but honestly, once you have sex..... In Gods eyes.... your already married. Maybe not in the eyes of the state you reside in, but, who do you wish to please? God or some state?
