I had trouble, still do understanding the written crochet patterns... then I found a magazine called Decorative Crochet. It has the diagrams, or drawings that I found so easy to follow. It also has written instructions which really helped me figure out how to follow them. I couldn't find a web site for them but the address I have is: Decorative Crochet, Subscription Dept. PO Box 1972, Danbury Ct 06813. I think I found my first issue at a garage sale, and have seen them on some magazine stands. Good Luck!

There are lots of easy crochet magazines. Go and look at your nearest bookstore or arts/crafts store. You could also ask for easy crochet patterns on your local FreeCycle web site.
