You already answered your own question hun, this is your second baby. In subsequent pregnancies the baby doesn't drop until you're in active labour, which you are not.

Just claim down and relax. Now I know that is easier said then done. That baby will come when he or she is ready. When I was pregnant with my now 20 month old daughter there were three other family members pregnant at the same time. Our of the four of us my daughter was suppose to be the last one born they were all within months of each others due date. Well the first two came then my daughter decided that she was going to put my body through enough hell that the doctors decided to to take her 4 weeks early. The last baby was so close to be being born but decided to wait I think she came a week late. Out of the four babies the two boys were born first then the two girls. My daughter four weeks early Weighted 7lb 10oz 19 1/2in. She was my second. So just relax.

I know from experience that when you are pregnant after your first pregnancy, the baby can drop anytime. I didn't drop with my second until the day I had her. I was going to have a Csection because the doctor said she was breech. I went into labor and low and behold she was the right way. She had "dropped" as well. Good luck I am sure it will work out fine.

Stripping your membranes twice...OUCH....!
Since this is your second baby, he/she can drop anytime...including the day you deliver her/him.

I am 34 weeks pregnant, and my baby has 'dropped' meaning simply that he is head down and ready to get into position...however I am no where near labor...I am nto dialiated or effaced at all.

The sickness though implies that labor is settign in and that the time is close. Alot of women get sickness right before going into labor. It is like your body further preparing to work hard (tryign to expell waste via vommiting or bowel movements).

It is possible that you will be overdue, but statistically, second time moms (or more than that) go earlier than first time moms.

Good luck to you!

I went throw the same thing just three months ago. i was in labor for two and half days and every hour i would only get just one cm dilated. the doctor would come in, like if i was three cm for 2hours then the next time he come in i would just four cm that went on for long time i was about to ask for a c-section but he told me to give it another hour and i should be ready and no surer then he said that she was ready to come out. what im trying to say is babys will come when their ready he/she is just being stubbern thats all.

My second child was like that. She was overdue by about 3 days and she didn't drop untill I was fully diliated and even then they had to drain my bladder to get that to work. Watch for your water to break or they will induce you soon. Laying on your side with a warm 2 liter of water wrapped in a receving blanket will help. Good luck and congrats!

In the first pregnancy the baby droppes couple of weeks before the actual delivery. In the second pregnancy it happens just hours before the labor starts. Be patient, your time will come soon :)
