They should have a chance to play Ohio State/Florida, whoever wins. I think they are a good enough team to beat Florida. There is a chance to beat Ohio State as well, but Florida's defense wouldn't be enough for BSU's offense.

No, Boise State should not be the national champion. The winner of the BCS National Championship Game tonight should be the national champion.
There is no doubt whatsoever that only Ohio State or Florida should be crowned national champion. These have been the two best teams this year, and it would be unfair to take that away from them just because of an impressive performance by Boise State against the mediocre defense of Oklahoma. Ohio State and Florida play in the two toughest collegiate football conferences in the nation and Boise State cannot claim to that. Unless Boise State had a similar schedule to that of Ohio State or Florida, than they shouldn't even be considered as the national champion.
Don't get me wrong; I loved to watch the Boise State-Oklahoma game. It's just that unless Boise State plays other high caliber teams, they just don't deserve the title of national champion.

No, they should not. Especially when most of the games on their schedule are against teams that most high schools could beat.
If this stands, Florida is the national champ. No questions asked. I don't see how anyone objectively watching the performance by the Gators tonight could even think that Boise could stay with them.

WEAK SCHEDULE! They only played 5 bowl teams and those weren't exactly world beaters, just teams with enough wins to get a bid. If they beat more than one team like Oklahoma every year, they'd get a bit more serious consideration. The year Tennessee won, Tulane went 13-0 as well, but no one said much about it for they pay in C-USA and dominated a weak conference. Same with BSU; they dominated a weak WAC with the exception of Hawai'i and BYU.

No, They've played nobody all season except Oklahoma. When you schedule and struggle to beat San Jose State, you can't call yourself National Champs.

No. They did not play one team in the top 40 all year.
My kid brother's elementary school had a tougher schedule.
