That's not true. Memories are what are captured from really good times and unfortunately really bad times. The tend to trigger a feeling and often times something may have been learned from them. We all strive on, however hold onto pieces of the past that impacted us in some way. Besides, how meaningless would life be if we couldn't remember what we lived through...if we couldn't take a piece of that with us?

Healthy, happy people don't hold on to memories and never move on with life. Memories help make us who we are. It's your responsibility to grow, change and choose a path to follow in your brief time on earth. Never moving on indicates immaturity and neurosis. Perhaps a counselor could help you get out of this rut.

Some people loved so hard and it is hard to forget love ones and one become depressed over the situation and it is sometimes unbearable to move on right away.

It's called perseveration - certain things that bother us (usually about ourselves) keep coming back to bother us, even though there are a million other good things to think about instead. Time for some self love!!!
