I'm a nurse. They are OK to take, you will be just fine. All vitamins are good for you no matter what. I hope this answers your question.

It's safe to take prenatal vitamins when not pregnant. But I wouldn't take any additional with it, prenatals have the supply for a whole day. In order to avoid the sick feeling, eat before you take them.

I take them to while nursing and I'm not pregnant. I work for a chiropractor who tells some woman to take prenatals even if they are not pregnant because they are an excellent multivitamin for woman. But I would just call up your doctor to confirm this because everyone is different and I don't know your health history.

Yes it's safe. I got sick from mine too, so I quit taking them and went back to my regular multivitamin, Nurtilite Daily Free. It was free of typical ingredients that people are allergic to like alfalfa and iron. I talked to my doctor about it and he said they were just fine as long I made up for the iron in my diet (no problem since I love a good steak every now and then).

Yes, it's perfectly fine. It's especially great when there's a chance you will get pregnant. I think sexually active women of child-bearing age should really consider taking pre-natal vitamins (just in case)

Are you planning on becoming pregnant? If you are, I would definitely ask an actual doctor.

Otherwise, why not just take regular vitamins if you are not and will not be getting pregnant?

WHY??? I had problems taking the awful things when I WAS pregnant... they made me nauseous. They may have extra iron. [a common need in pregnancy].. so be careful.... you could ask the pharmacist or research the vitamin to see what it really has in it

I have heard of women taking them for their hair and nails. I tried it once it messed my cycle up. I guess my body thought I was pregnant. They are fine to take, you do have to take them with something.
