Do many women get cosmetic surgeries to do modeling work?

I know a young woman, pretty and pettite, who had a minor flaw. It was the kinda flaw that made her unique (to me anyway). She recently got the flaw surgically "fixed". I am not against anybody doing what they want to their own body. I am curious to know if this is becoming standard practice for attaining jobs.

women get cosmetic surgeries because they are MADE to be insecure. the media, TV ect tells all the perfectly fine girls that they need to be better and it messes with them psychologically.
