My friend is looking for some music to put behind her senior project animation and wants to put the song 'My Favorite Things' from the Sound of Music. Of course she wont be able to the original recording or any other copyrighted preformances, but I was curious if the song itself is public domain so that I could play my own version of it for her. Any ideas?

I thinkit's public domain. It's sorta' like Christmas carols, they don't really belong to anyone after a while and you can definitely play your own version as long as it's not the original recording. Have a happy graduation!!!! Go seniors!!
