i accidently deleted some files that i later found that i needed(video ts and audio ts) i asked yahoo answers for a soloution and the best answer i got was to use system restore,however when i used this i got the message '' cannot restore to this point please chose another one,,or something very simular.''no changes have been made to your computer.tried variouse restore points same response.

The video_ts and audio_ts folder are just for dvd. All you need to do is try to use the burning software to burn your files and it will create these folder for you. Or if you want you can create these 2 folders yourself. Put all files in the Video_ ts folder and nothing in the Audio_ts folder and you're good to go.

System Restore isn't foolproof. Plus it only restores your system files, not files you've deleted. Try some data recovery software. The deleted files are probably still on your hard drive as deleting them doesn;'t wipe them. It just marks that section of the drive as available.

well that being the case there is not alot you can do even if you did a restore the files would not have been there cause you had deleted them windows restore only restores windows parts not third party files

lesson learned always do an external backup of files needed

If you didn't clean out your trash you can get them out of the trash hopefully,Ive done that before and I ended up taking the computer in the shop.
