you are going to need to add some additional details. i think you are talking about how to show if something has compressed air. in which case you will have to do a test to show the air is compressed. compressed air has more pressure then the air in our atmosphere. so there are many ways you can show compressed air. you could use it to inflate a balloon. or do something that would show the air is compressed. air gives out pressure. now when the pressure levels of the air are diffrent then they will try to even out. because their is more pressure in the compressed air whenever it is no longer contained it will spread out evenly with the surrounding air in our atmosphere. so what you could do is demonstrate that by physical or visual demonstrations. you could inflate a balloon. use the compressed air to displace water by containing it in upside down jars in a tank. there are many possible ways. you could blow compressed air at people. im still not sure what you are meaning by your question. if you could fill me in with the plot behind this i could help you. im not sure if you are showing compressed air in a diagram or by describing it with words or showing it by experiments for a project.....please fill me in.

You mean detect whether air is compressed or not.

Use pressure gauges.
