Rodríguez dated her The Fast and the Furious co-star, Vin Diesel, in 2001. There has, however, been a recurring question regarding her sexual orientation; she has previously said in interviews she is not a lesbian, though she supports equal rights for gays. In July 2006 she told UK Cosmopolitan she was not gay, but had "experimented" with women. However, on November 14, 2006, her openly bisexual Bloodrayne co-star Kristanna Loken's comments to The Advocate were widely interpreted and reported as an admission that the two are in a relationship. Rodriguez's representatives have not yet confirmed or denied the rumors.

I haven't heard anything about it... And why is everyone saying look at her? Look at her for what? Signs of gayness? That's stupid. I actually like her look. She looks badass and tough, not gay. And just because she supports gay rights doesn't make her gay. I support gay rights and i'm not gay.
