yes you can. pedialite is electrolites and water. it helps restore the childs system for water loss as well as mineral loss. Give her a little at a time. Maybe 2 oz every other feeding. See if it helps. I did it to my son. He had to change milk 7 times and i ended up putting him on carnation myself. it was the only kind his stomache would take. try that and see if it helps. i hope so. It will restore what she looses through vomiting!

I don't know if they reccomend it . I'd call the E.R. and ask the nurse on duty there if you might be better off with just water. The electrolytes may be too strong in the pedialyte. You are trying to make sure the baby doesn't get dehydrated...a baby so young needs to see a Dr.. you may need a suppository to stop the throwing up and allow the baby to rest and possibly feed again soon. I'd probably call the E.R and see what you should do. A 2 month old isn't the same as a 6 mo. old. Good luck. Call.

If you are breastfeeding then no, breastmilk has the same mineral salt content, sugars BUT breastmilk has antibodies.

If you are formula feeding consult a pharmacist. Much more knowledgeable than docs. You can usually just phone your local drugstore you don't need to go in.

My vote is "no". If you are nursing, make sure to give a lot of milk over the next few hours and days - look for a lot of wet diapers. Babies that age shouldn't drink anything except milk.

If you are breastfeeding, keep nursing. All baby needs is breastmilk. It's not like dairy milk and is good for a sick child. If they are vomiting, breastmilk is often all they can hold down. Just don't nurse for long period of time. (Kind of the same idea as only taking little sips when you are sick.)

Call your local Er...or hospital and talk to a nurse. I don't think you are supposed to give it to a baby that young. Or call your own doctor and explain that you are having trouble with your baby's doctor and what should you do...good luck.

If your 2-month old is vomitting, they need to be taken to the hospital immediately. They'll let you know after you figure out what is wrong, if you can give them pedialyte or not.

Can you give it to your baby absolutely.....My son is two months and he has been on it for a month now PER HIS DOCTOR.....so it will not hurt him/her but I would definitely wait and ask a doctor if it makes you feel better....

Also do not add water to it, Pedialyte as the right amount of electrolytes and water that your baby has and if you add water you will be defeating the purpose...

Good luck... :)

if the bottle says one years i'd suggest against it. I always go to somewhere like wal-greens or such and ask what i can do to make sure that they don't get dehydrated....The pharmist would know better that's what they're trained for.
