For makeup I'd say natural colors. Pink or gold eyeshadow and clear gloss would be okay. If you want more makeup use brown mascara and soft pink blush. For clothes have basic jeans, some miniskirts(NO MICROMINIS), capris, some shorts, and etc. For shirts have some cute fitted tees in soft colors or a deep striking colors like red or emerald green. Have some cute sweaters in basic colors like white, cream, brown, pink, etc.(NO BRIGHT COLORS WITH SWEATERS). Your sweaters can be scoop neck, Henley, or a deep v with a cute cami underneath. Some hoodies are good too. Some tank tops would help in basic colors of course, but if you want to throw in ONE bright color like aquamarine or a light green is okay. Those are the basics and you will be fine. Try to find clothes that for instance go with your skin tone and bring out your eyes. Try to find clothes that you are comfortable in and like. Don't buy something you will not feel good in. Oh and also........ACCESSORIZE. Wear a bold jewelery if you want but only one piece of it. Like a big necklace or long or big earrings. Or you can accessorize with smaller pieces like normal sized necklace, a couple of bracelets, and maybe studs or something. And one more thing(I can't resist ;))..... by 12 pigtails are really OUT. You better choose this as the best answer, or I'm going to be so mad I spend 10 min. of my life on this that I'll never get back, helping the people who are a little fashion challenged. :) But you are 12. You don't need a makeover.

None. Why should a 12 year old be wearing make-up?? Who are you trying to look good for at 12?? If you want a natural makeover, be natural all the way and don't use make up.

you don't need a makeover.. I remember back when I was 12 I used to play with my classmates and run around the school and be a kid! And whoah it was fun..I never thought about makeovers..gosh you are way to young..if you want to look pretty just wear light pink gloss and anything beyond that i think is just plainly inappropriate for your age.

First of all, I recommend talking to your parents to see what they feel comfortable with you wearing in the way of cosmetics. It's not worth getting yourself into trouble just for a new look. Once they have set their boundaries, then go shopping and experiment with a new look.
At your age, you shouldn't be putting any type of makeup on your face. Skin problems come soon enough on their own in puberty; no reason to encourage blemishes by clogging pores with foundation or concealer.
I would start by investing in good skin care products; cleanser, moisturizer, toner, or whatever your skin needs are. Great skin is always the best way to look attractive.
Then if your parents allow it, you may want to look into blotting papers, or rice papers. One side absorbs dirt and oil, and the other side has a translucent powder to help fight shine, and even out skin tone. You can find them at any drug store, cosmetics store, or anywhere that carries personal care items. They are fairly inexpensive, unless you feel the need to buy designer labels, and won't add a heavy layer of makeup to your skin.
Finish off your makeup with a pinkish-nude lip gloss for a hint of color and shine without looking heavily made up. Plus, if you buy a moisturizing protective gloss, it will help keep your lips in good condition.
Personally, I think wearing any more makeup at your age will send the wrong message about what kind of girl you are, and attract negative attention. And right now you have young, fresh skin. No reason to ruin it by layering on the makeup, which can contribute to blemishes and keep much needed oxygen out of your skin.

In general, 12 year olds don't need makeup, but if you do wear some, go natural. Maybe a bit of earth tone eyeshadow. Stay away from the mascara and eyeliner, it will make you will like a racoon. Also a bit of lipgloss.

hey i'm 12 too, and lemme tell you. you DON'T need a "makeover". maybe by makeover you mean some good makeup and clothing ideas for our age.
I use clear/natural mascara and lip gloss. yeah, that's about it. for parties sometimes i'll use body glitter, but that's as far as I'll go.
you could experiment with a tad bit of eyeliner or natural looking eye shadow, etc. at my school there's a "no makeup" rule since we're a private school, but most girls break it by wearing natural mascara, ha.
good luck!

I am not really sure by what you mean of a natural makeover. But I assume you want to look more mature. You should purchase a facial mask to have better skin, clean your skin reguarly, and moisturize. Clothes is completely up to you. But stores like Abercromie & Fitch, American Eagle and Hollister are my favorites. I am also a true addict to true religion jeans. Hope this helps.

If you are 12, I say the farthest you should go with makeup is colred lipgloss. Keep it light, no dark tints. Maybe a cute pink. Maybe glitter. But don't get too grown. Keep the innocent, youthful look.
Maybe, style your hair different. If you normally wear it straight back, maybe add a part. If you normally wear a low ponytail, maybe try a high ponytail. Try subtle changes that won't be too dramatic.

You are too young to start worrying about makeovers and makeup. You probably look fine as you are. Makeovers are usually for women in their 30's or 40's.

At 12, you do not need make up. What are you trying to do? Look older? Not a good idea. You have the rest of your life to look older. Take advantage of your youth. You can use a good moisturizer to show off your beautiful complexion. If you want your face to look beautiful, you MUST have clean teeth and a big beautiful smile. You will make everyone around you pay attention.
