It's impossible to kick one from your own end. Nobody would try it.
It's considered a long range field goal on the offensive 35 yard line (15 yards for the end zone if I remember correctly). Making the total long range kick 50+ yards.
Attempting one from your own end is over 100 yards.
Coaches would punt.

A missed field goal on any down results in change of possession. Anyone can carry a blocked field goal if it doesn't pass through the neutral zone (it's ruled like a fumble), but only the defense can return a missed field goal that does not touch the ground or touches a defensive player before hitting the ground (it's ruled like a punt). No one can return a missed/blocked field goal that passes the neutral zone and hits the ground, the team on defense gets possession at either the 20 yard line or depending on what level (high school, college, NFL), the previous line of scrimmage or the spot of the kick. In college, a blocked/missed PAT can be returned for two points (for example, in September of this year, Ohio State returned an interception on a Navy two-point conversion attempt). The rules apply as a normal field goal. In high school or the NFL, the try is over when the ball becomes dead or the defense gets possession. EDIT: Also, a kick that touches the goalpost is automatically dead. It was ruled live in the Arena Football League, and now they're bankrupt. Coincidence? Probably.

No team will ever attempt a FG from their own endzone, since a play can't even be executed from there. But, if you're talking about a long field goal attempt that falls short, the opposing team can actually field the kick as a live ball and run it back.

No one can kick that far, so it would never happen. If someone does then the other team would have a guy back on the field for when the kicker misses the ball and probably run it back for great field position.

First, no one (except maybe you) would be stupid enough to attempt a field goal from their own end zone.
Second, when a field goal is missed the ball is turned over to the opposing team where the ball was placed for the kick. Since this is your end zone, the opposing team would be given possession of the ball in your end zone. When the opposing team has possession of the ball in your end zone, that is a touchdown.

yes it is a saftey
because the holder would be on his knee wit the ball in his hand in the endzone
so holding it in the endzone automatically means a saftey
i dont think a dropkick in the endzone would be a saftey though

If the ball is in your endzone, then it is already a safety.

The only league in which that's even POSSIBLE, is the Arena league, and even then it depends upon where the ball winds up.
