As a rule restraining order,s expire after a while. And if you are 17 and not living with your parents then you are a adult in the eyes of the law. You should be able to get it lifted. Call a lawyer and ask it should not cost you anything for phone consultation.

In most states the answer is Yes (although there are a few that make you wait until you have "completed the 18th year", or in otherwords, you have to be 19). However, I strongly urge you pay attention to your father and your aunt's direction. They are older and have more experience. I guarantee they see something that you don't, and it isn't their imagination.

I would disagree with the 1st poster, once you're 18, you should be able to do something!??
However... as a parent I would ask you to really ask yourself...is this a good guy, or did your parents do the right thing and take the trash out?

Depends upon the state you live in. If you are under age in any state, your parents have jurisdiction over you. When you come of age, you are free to do as you choose.
