Well, you can try fruit juices, kool-aid, tea. And yes....water! Lol....Believe it or not, as your pregnauncy advances... you'll probably be turned off of the soda and want the water. I did. If you gag on milk....skip it and be sure to take your prenatal vitamins everyday!
Good eats? Focus on a well-balanced meat....a little from each food group. Stay away from the sugary stuff and the greasy stuff. I wish I could recall more....
Good luck and congrats to ya!

Lots of fresh fruits and vegetables; milk, and juices. A cup or two of tea a day is good too. Small portions of protein like fish and chicken are wonderful. A multi-vitamin best given to you by your doctor is a plus. Avoid fad diets and lots of sugar, not good either for you or your baby; although a treat once in awhile will not hurt either of you. A soda once in awhile is okay for most people. Not every day however. Check with your doctor about it; you might be the type that should not drink it at all however.
Congratulations and good luck!

I suggest drinking A LOT of water..also juices and stuff and don't forget 2-3 glasses of milk a day. I use to hate milk now 35 weeks pregnant I love it. Also bananas helped me a ton. I get Charlie horses a lot and bananas really help out a lot.

DON"T DRINK DIET!! the chemicals are really bad for the baby. see, to make something diet, they take sugar out and put lots of nasty stuff in its place.
i like tea...iced tea...or lemonade...but if you want soda, drink regular 7up...no caffeine either (so not good for the baby)...add some chocolate to the milk...like nestle quik...adds calcium and tastes WAY BETTER!!! lol!!
eat lots of dark green veggies....spinach is good...anything with folic acid.
if you are that worried...take a pre-natal vitamin. you can get them at the store.
good luck!

Read "What to Eat When You Are Expecting." It will tell you exactly what to eat and what to stay away from. Also, stay away from diet pop that has aspartame, it is potentially harmful. You need to dring mild because of the vitamin d and calcium, and water because you need to stay hydrated. The diet drinks have aspartame, and juice a lot of unnecessary sugar and calories, although there is at least some good vitamins there.

Anything with artifical flavors, colors and sweetners is BAD for the baby. Remember that rule when you're out shopping for good things to eat and drink.
Water is best, sorry if you hate it, but it's true. Knock off the sodas completely, those artifical sweetners can cause birth defects if that's all you ever drink.

Hi. That's such an important question. I don't know the answer to that question, but my mother, Dr. Shoshana Bennett, is a specialist in the field of nutrition and health for pregnant and nursing moms. She has helped many in this field, and has written a chapter about it in her latest book, Postpartum Depression for Dummies. I know she'd love to help you find the best nutrition for you and your baby. Her contact info is on her website below, or you can send it to me and i'll make sure she gets in touch with you shortly. Take Care

My friend swore by raspberry leaf tea. (but you are not supposed to drink it in the first trimester!? Ask the doc.) She felt that it helped her deliver on time -(she went into labor on her due date, had the baby the next morning!!!) Water is alway a good option too. As far as food... leafy greens like spinach, chard & lettuce. Eggs are supposed to support brain development, too!?
