i would hope so, i think many families have lost the traditions of their ancestors,,,,, and do not tell the storys of their personal family history,,,, i have made sure to pass down the stories i know, to my child, and can only hope that she passes this on,,,,,,,,as a matter of fact, i think i will record in a journal what i know, she can add to it,,,,, thanks for the idea,,,

I would love to create something positive that would last longer then I do. Other than that, I'll just be a number in a data base somewhere that someone might discover if they're doing genealogical research.

50 years barely, 100 years, probably once if one of my descendants goes through some form of family tree search. If they don't find me, it won't really be my problem, will it thus I don't see how it could matter either way, Live for now

No, No, absolutely no.
Only great 'movers and shakers' are remembered after they die, except for our immediate family, who will remember us only during their lifetimes.
That's ok with me. I don't want to be or need to be remembered that long in the future.

Fifty? Probably - I might even still be alive.
A hundred? I doubt it - unless I hurry up and do something real cool.
A million? Not in a million years.

It really doesn't matter, while I hate to think of my Friends and loved ones having to suffer the grief of my passing, they are the only ones who matter to me in the grand scheme of things.

Hopefully I will have some great grandkids that get to hear about their wacky great grandma and grandpa. Other than that, it doesn't matter so much.

Not even Elvis can survive that long.
Besides, I don't think there will be people around by then.
