Never taken the train but Amsterdams' Schipol (sp??) airport is very close by train to central Amsterdam so a flight might be really easy to grab instead of a long train ride.

Take the train.

They leave for example at following times:

dep 10:26 Amsterdam Centraal
arr 16:02 Paris Nord

dep 11:26 Amsterdam Centraal
arr 16:05 Paris Nord

dep 12:56 Amsterdam Centraal
arr 17:05 Paris Nord

dep 13:26 Amsterdam Centraal
arr 18:05 Paris Nord

and almost every hour after that.

Price is around 100 euros (2nd class ticket).

Hey, don't buy a Euro-rail pass. EXPENSIVE! We saved alot of money by asking similar question at http://www.virtualtourist.com. Great web site for travelers. Go to the Paris or Amsterdam forum and ask your question.

Here is the link to our homepage on virtualtourist;

Or you could try....

www.thalys.com
Ticket buying procedure is the same as from SNCF. A lot of different prices for the same seats, so buy early to get the cheapest fare.

It seems that people all around the world love to offer suggestions, and if you take the time you can save alot of $$$. Especially if you travel like the locals!

Happy Travels!

you're spreading your selves too skinny. you may want to be extra effective off spending extra time in fewer cities. something like London or Paris you may want to spend 5 or 6 days in on my own. do not ignore that in case you want the louvre - it truly is extremely one complete day good there. perhaps if a number of you extremely desire particular cities and different desire others you should bypass your separate techniques and then meet up lower back in Paris. i might want to combine your london and amsterdam holiday as they're close. perhaps the human beings on your crew that desire barcelona might want to attempt this even as something of you spot milan and Rome. you quite desire extra time for Rome to. If I were you i might want to easily %. 3 or 4 cities and extremely get to understand them. perhaps london, paris, Rome. Or Paris, Amsterdam, Barcelona. Or Paris, London, Milan, Rome. Or Paris, Barcelona. Rome, Milan. Or London, Amsterdam. Paris and doubtless another - both an italan one or Barcelona, yet not both. imagine high quality, not volume. verify out eurorail passes. Google them. they're a thanks to bypass! The trains in europe are remarkable!

hope this comes in time for you but usually you can just take the thalys, you have to book in advance else you have to pay a little extra, they have tickets from 65 euro's and it's the fast train, takes you there in about6 hrs i believe, been a while since i took that train to paris.

go to, www.ns.nl and hit international in the upper right corner they also have a link for english
else go to the train station and ask them at the ticket desk

goodluck and have fun traveling

Lots of commuters on that train route. Very comfortable and affordable.
