I am not a lady, but I can answer your question with how many ladies I know play. My wife has played and will play but is not overly thrilled with the game. I have a friend Sonia that enjoys the game more but again, she would rather play Diplomacy. In all, I have played A&A with about five different women and I must admit none have enjoyed it as much as I have. Diplomacy, I have found to be far more popular with women, even though they are more skeptical about playing it initially.
