Today, I got to hold Baby again, a ball python, and I loved the experience. She's about 2 feet long now, and much larger than the last time I saw her, which was a few months ago.
I doubt there was a lot going on behind her large black, oil-like eyes (her head is rather small), but she still fascinates me in a way that some people don't.
I might be making too much of it, but I felt at peace for once in that classroom as I held her and let her wrap herself around my bare arm... And strangely, I felt accepted by her...

Generally,Animals. They don't have any expectations of you; they see truth and take you as you are. When I am near them I don't hold back and I don't have to untangle the words I'd chose to say to express my thoughts. They aren't limited by words, they see on a level I don't think we are capable of without great struggle.

People definately but that's just my preference. I know of a lot of people who find extreme comfort and serenity while spending time with their pets. There is something very therapeutic about that. Animals can be a good companion to have because animals will not let ya down like people tend to.

It depends on the situation, sometimes you need to be with someone you can talk to and not feel judged (animals) but people transmit an energy animals dont (and vice versa) and sometimes you need some advice (that you can only get from people) so as I said sometimes I feel more comfortable around people and other around animals.

Animals; they are pure love and acceptance and forgiveness. They don't judge, criticize, care what you look like or what you have, ego is not involved. They always sense when you are in pain, or lonely, or happy. And they will love you and trust you even though they probably shouldn't. Which is probably why, like children, they get neglected and abused. It never occurs to them that someone would want to hurt them. People have too many games.
