Hey, When I was in High School I took AP(European History), AP Spanish, AP French, and AP Biology, as well as 2 additional courses. I was also one of the most involved students at my school as editor of the Yearbook, the Magazine, a member of the Student Council and President of the Sports Association. My lowest mark in APs was a 4, so you can definitely do it! Like the previous poster counsellors also told me I couldn't do it, but I've made a point of always exceeding their expectations, it isn't that hard!

id dont have any AP calsses yet, but i think 4 is a good amount...ALl depends on how much work you can take. And if ur doing extracurricular activities the homework will take up alot of time.I say just take what you really need, meaning in Calfornia to get into a cal-state ( i think) you need 4 AP classes so i'm going to take 4 or 5....I hope it helped

I took 4 my Junior year & 2 my Senior year. I had to attend the local college for 2 classes a day during my Senior year, as I had takn the highest level courses available at the HS.
As long as you can handle it, don't worry about what the counselors say.

When you're crashing and burning... getting grades far lower than you expect from yourself... when you realize that you are NOT God's gift to academia... Then you'll know that you're over your head.

Functionally, you're saying that you're doing, what, 4 or 5 college classes, plus at least a pud class or two? I'd say you're maxed out.

When you get to college, stick to 4 classes that first semester (12 credit hours or so) and make sure that you're not doing Physics AND calc AND organic chem AND intro to Japanese... get the idea?

They [the conselors] always say that you won't be able to handle it, but they're a bunch of liars.

Of course, the extracurriculars may affect that greatly, there's a lot of homework.

Go for it if you want it.
