there really is no point accept that i think the person being rude gets some pleasure out of it. unfortunately, it also seems to be socially acceptable if not trendy to be rude these days and not consider the feelings of others.

It is a waste of time...it pisses me off when people are rude..we all have to get along..wether we like it or not..no point in complicating everything by being rude.
Hmm..you okay?

to hurt others. maybe people have been hurt, or are hurting & feel need for justice & it comes out in the form of "letting other people know how THEY feel" its a very negative expressing of emotions. others like to belittle people because they have low self esteem & it makes them feel empowered, if u cant make urself better, shove the rest of them down, right? so the point is to hurt, whether every person who is rude knows that or if its subconcience, i dont know.

I'm sarcastic at times, but I really try not to be rude because there really isn't a point to it.

No point really.
Sometimes I do it here so that I can start arguments with people to pass the time while I'm working.

i truly dont know....maybe if someone just absolutely hates the other person, then being rude would express how much they hated that person. other than that then its pointless

The only thing I can think of is that by putting down others, one's own self-esteem feels better. But this is only a temporary "band-aid" feeling.
