Research Paper Ideas?

Well i'm writing a research paper over Islam and the democracy of it. My thesis statement is like something the political system of Islam and the democracy of it with the teachings of Islam. Does anyone have any ideas of what i can write about. Like how Islam and Politics go together. thanks alot

A thesis is an arguable statement that you can back with credible resources. You need to make a strong statement such as the religion of Islam (Helps, hinders, stops) the democratic process in (pick a country that is predominantly muslim). You will not have the time or resources to talk about all muslim countries and democracy, but you will be able to do one. You will have to research the religion of Islam, the teachings and the democratic process in the country you chose. Obviously you will have to refer to the Quaran, texts that refer to Islamic teaching and democratic policy, get interviews with Islamic people here in America (Check your local mosque) also think about using the CIA World Fact Book to find the information on your country.

I do not have an idea about your paper but you might try asking your question in the religious section as there are many muslims that post there and might see your question and know more about the subject.
