I was trying to change my verizon A 870 samsung cell phone to cricket, i have done this once before with a samsung A740
and it worked, but i cannot pull up the svc menu now, so i needed to know if anyone knew how to do this? Or how to unlock the verizon phone. I bought this off ebay, and it turned out not to be on cricket service.

Verizon doesn't lock their phones. Even if you can't get into the manual programming you should be able to program it OTA with *22804 for Cricket once they have your ESN loaded into their system. The manual programming can be accessed using setting + 0, NAM Programming. Even after this I would still dial *228 to update the PRL in the phone.

Your telephone is CDMA and CDMA telephones do no longer use sim enjoying cards, and can't be unlocked. CDMA telephones could desire to be flashed to a diverse provider's utility and settings each and every time you desire to alter vendors, that can in all hazard brick the telephone each and every time that's flashed plus AT&T is a GSM provider so which you will no longer flash the telephone to them the two...Sorry however the telephone wont paintings with AT&T./
