Ask yourself:
What do I like?
What do I want to be?
What don't I want to be?
What kind of life to I want to live?
How much schooling do I want?

Then take your answers and talk to an advisor/guidance counselor and teachers/professors to get an idea.

Unless you're in your Junior year of college, you most likely have plenty of time to figure that out on your own. Don't "decide"---I was sure that I wanted to be an Architecture major, and that I would NEVER be one of those people who changed their major.

I became an International Studies major as a backup if I didn't get into the Architecture program (which I wound up not even applying for). While taking IS Econ requirements, I found I loved my Econ classes but hated IS, and became Economics major. Since then I've decided to add Business Administration/Accounting to have something I can earn good money with, while continuing Economics---which I enjoy more thoroughly. I plan to go to Law School, and can't even imagine myself as an Architect anymore.

You'll find that you change your mind about what you enjoy and attitudes about certain fields. I don't think I even realized what Economics was all about until i took a class required for my then-planned IS major. Have a plan about what you might want to do, but don't hesitate to explore and alter your plans.

Talk to your advisers about options and plans while you're in college, you'll find their guidance invaluable.

Take classes that you are interested in and take your time doing so. Nothing worse than rushing your way through college. For me I would read the course catalog in subjects I was curious about and I took classes that not everyone else was taking. It took me four years to realize I was in the wrong major. Now I am in my 6th year of college and I am graduating in June.
