Only with parents who think their little darlings are perfect! The parents will sit and ignore the rude behavior---from throwing temper tantrums; loud squealing; running and playing, etc. Before smoking was banned, when the host/hostess asked if we wanted to be seated in smoking or non-smoking, I always replied, "No children section, please!"

I do not think that kids should be banned. Parents SHOULD teach their children how to behave. However, whether they are taught or not they still have as much right to eat in a nice place as anyone else. There are adults that enter nice dinning areas that have no respect or manners that get on peoples nerves, yet you never hear people saying they should be banned. Maybe, it's not just the kids everyone should be focusing on, because as soon as a parent brings their child into these sort of places the attention is immediatly brought to them even if they are behaving, every mistake or cry that child makes is then exaggerated.

I don't necessarily think all children should be banned from restaurants, just those that do not know how to behave. So many parent's are in denial of their children's bad behavior. It really bothers me when a child begins to act up in a restaurant and the parents do nothing. At least take the kid outside, in the bathroom or in the car until they calm down. They will never learn to behave, if their parents don't highlight their negative behavior.

I have a 2 year old who just happens to be very well mannered and a baby who can go just about anywhere without fussing. I got lucky. But I wouldn't even risk taking them somewhere nice out to eat because if they acted up, it's just plain rude. I do take them to places like Olive Garden, Applebees, and equivalant places. But if a child is making too much of a disturbance the parent really should just take the child out, no matter where they are.

PFFT! Don't ban the children, ban their irresponsible parents!
My daughter was taught how to behave at the dinner table. Whether at home or in a restaurant, a child's behaviour should be respectful and quiet. I have never hesitated to take my daughter into any restaurant, or other public place. Now that she is a teenager, she still behaves appropriately in restaurants.
These children that you see acting out in restaurants.. they act the same way at home. If it is not taught at home, it will not carry into the public realm. These toddlers and/or preschoolers will someday turn into the cocky teenagers we too often see today.

I extremely have a pal who's anaphylactic allergic to onions, carrots, garlic, potatoes and all root vegetables, might desire to those have been banned from public places whilst she became a baby? My kin is vegetarian, peanuts are a substantial source of protein for us, might desire to we not be allowed to consume in public? as quickly as we are going someplace that has banned peanuts we don't convey them with us (2 playgroups and my son's college). i've got self assurance that businesses that have contributors who're allergic might desire to ban specific ingredients. I even have self assurance that a public ban is stupid. I fought the college final 12 months and this 12 months, they didn't want us to have peanut butter until now college, we are careful and attentive to people around us, however the wellbeing of my babies should be considered to. Now, maximum folk have self assurance that being vegetarian is a decision, we are illiberal to animal fat which restricts are nutrition ordinary. What i'm attempting, in my ramblings, to declare is that education is commonly the extra effective thank you to head somewhat than banning issues. enable others on the park be attentive to that your babies are allergic and have them wash their palms, and so on. whilst they have finished eating. sturdy success.

Well, Ireland sounds bad but right here in Toronto there are kids sitting in PUBS in the evening with their parents screaming and howling and flipping out. In a pub! What the hell?

I highly recommend that you never visit Ireland...the kids are completely unsupervised and run rampant through the pubs and restaurants. I refused to stay at more places than one...it was insane

They aren't going to learn if they are banned. But I do think they can place families in a different area. Here where I live they do.
