How many of you out there have received violation notices for answering a question in, what some folk think, in an inappropriate way?
I answered a question that asked how often do you go to church. I replied with 'For hatches, matches, and dispatches.' (Which meant for baptisms, weddings, and funerals.)
No foul language, no attacks. Just a bit of Brit-wit that my grandparents told me.
I can understand it if something is really gross. But that?
What were your experiences?

Hi all. I'm giving everyone a thumbs-up for your support. If you haven't been tagged yet, it's because I ran out of my quota of daily ratings. :)

Good day all. I'll keep watch on this question for anymore answers. All of them are wunderbar. I must say that it would be impossible for me to pick the best one.
So I hope that you won't mind it if it goes to voting. :) :) :) Thank you one and all!

I think you got reported because the questioner took your answer the wrong way because they didn't understand it. I've never heard of it before and before I saw your explaination I didn't get it either. And yes I have been reported before(only once though),but I understand why I was reported. It was because I answered a question with ':takes 2 points and leaves:' or something like that. Anyway, sorry you got reported. :(

i had 15 questions and 15 answers removed today that weren't offensive at all. i believe its an automated process, any jerk that wants to report you can, and there's nothing you can do about it. i've written to yahoo about the meaningless violations, but all i ever get back is a form reply.

I guess that your answer was dispatched..Anyway I would not have reported you..I like your answer.. Not sure but a live person cannot review every complaint, therefore it was probably the yahoo program that baptmatchdispatched up.

That little saying is as old as the hills. I can't believe you got violated for that. All it takes is for one person to click on that little flag.
