Not going to make any friends with this answer I can see that already!!
My political stance is that there are certain moral and realistic values in life
Those primarily being my God, my family, my freinds, then ME
When it comes to politics, My god can take care of himself (cant yours?)
My family on the other hand requires food, clothing, shelter, education, and healthcare
These are the family values- The bigest thing required to take care of family values is
#1 A JOB that pays a living wage (this is political)
#2Housing that is safe and affordable(this is political)
#3 Schools that are safe and will educate my children for the jobs of tommorrow (again this is political)
#4 Good quality healthcare that is affordable (politiacal again)
The there are the needs of friends(community)
We need communities where crime is not rampant (political)
Where the air is clean and the ground isnt polluted with industrial runoff (environment is also political)
A community where the police do not run roughshod over the citizens (political)
Then there is ME.......
I want to be able to look forward to the day when I can retire and spend time with my grandkids
Here we are talking about pensions, Social Security, Healthcare and drug costs( all of which are political)
These are Moral Values....... There is only one party that even considers any of these items, then only paying lip service for the most part
It is an individuals obligation to vote for the CANIDATE that most closely suits their perspective. Not their mother, father, uncle or brothers perspective ...theirs!
We are a country of followers, people that go head first with a party over abortion, but will watch a homeless man starve.
AND never bother to look at how their decision will effect their family or community!
This country has lost its moral compass.........and they wont find it in a political party!

Having political stances is just like being a clown in the storm.
Having a party is just like being a slave on a political whims which in turn follow some rules and regulation to keep you afloat of the moral values you hold on in their mercy.
Differentiating moral and political values is of being sucked up of the real values of your very own being. It would be you and the society you chose to be with.
Nothing to consider as human values will just be gobbled by the drives and aspects of the survival tactics in all arenas.

I've never put party before morality or country. I thought many of the Republicans of the 1990's were too much like the ones of the 1930's, instead of the ones during the cold war(which they should've been), and I say the Democrats of today are still too much like they were in the 1970's, when they should be more like they were in the 1940's and 1950's, except without the additional problem of the Dixiecrats.

Moral values has something to do with what is good in ethics.

i don't believe that the words politics and morals belong in the same sentence.
i am a registered independent and over 40% of the voters in my state (massachusetts) are.
i simply don't care which party is involved - i vote for the individual or the issue and do what's right.
this has literally nothing to do with party affiliation.

My moral values determine my political values, and that's why I've voted for George W. Bush twice for Governor of Texas, twice for President of the United States, and his dad twice for President of the United States. God Bless you.

They are different. My moral values are my convictions as to how I vote. As long as there is no democrat that has the same morals and ethics that I believe in, I won't be voting democrat.
