I am American and you are exactly right. Its no different than the sorry no good drunk who spends his money to impress other people while his own starves. While not every American is starving - there are a great number of people who are in dire need. Like any other nation, we have homeless people, poor people barely hanging onto dilapidated rental houses and all of them in need of medical assistance, homes, education - job training and more.

Our government is well aware - they just don't care enough. We should help our own, and with anything left over - help other countries.

And as if our government hasn't learned its lesson there.., we cant even deal with our own domestic terrorists (gangs and thugs) so how does our American government dare think we can neutralize foreign terrorists who are better financed than our domestic ones.

Again - we need to take care of our own - THEN - respond elsewhere.

When USA gives to other countries for disasters like the Tzunami and so on is NOT only USA.It's an international effort and actually Canada usually gives more.Perhaps you are forgetting how much other countries gave to USA after 9/11 and New Orleans. Not only money but the first some people to be rescued from both events had canadians to thank for that. You should be mad at the US agencies that don't handle the funds right

It is part of foregin policy....it means the U.S.A is protecting its interest. They may have something big in mind with those countries in the near future. Its like the mafia...there will always be a payback time.
