I do NOT want a sex change, but one of my friends does. What age does she have to be to get one. Just curious to know, plz don't leave any, Thats gross, or all the reasons she should not because that is not the question.

any age..... depends on your situation in life, and or the condition of your transsexualism or injury, my friend Adriana had her SRS "sex change" when she was 14, but it just depends on your situations in life.

I wouldn't expect you to find that there is a minimum age to go through gender reassignment , but there are guidelines. These guidelines set forth in the "Benjamin Standards" have to be followed to even be accepted for surgery. The therapist uses these rules, in turn the hormone Doctors follow these rules and ultimately the patient/ candidate must follow the guidelines. And if a person could be diagnosed early in life and had parental and /or guardian support, following the rules, I would think they could be eligible for gender reassignment surgery before 18 years of age. Maturity of the individual and the ability to understand the life changing course of this action is key.

You would have to at least be 18 but then there is years of therapy and counseling before they will even start the process!Talk to some one that is or has gone through the process.

I would think that the doctor that guides your friend through the process of becoming a woman (have to live for one year as a woman first). would be best to make that determination.

i dont know i think 18 or 21 (sorry but i dont really know i think its because i dont really look into that sinse i dont wanna have a sex change)

You can't get a SEX CHANGE . you can just get surgically mutilated so that you look like ( but are not) the opposite sex.
