Well, you need the answer faster than I can fully respond, but, in general. . . . .

The Virginia Resolution was written by James Madison. In it he recognized the power of States to nullify federal acts considered extra-constitutional by State legislatures.

The Kentucky Resolution was written by Thomas Jefferson and in it (particularly the first draft) he recognized the power of the States to secede from the Union.

To fully note the differences would take me at least a full dedicated day of work and I have them both in front of me right now and I am quite familiar with them. A note of advice, it is best to begin you homework assignments so that there is enough time to actually complete them. I also believe that if you took the time to really study these two documents, relating them to the Declaration of Independence, the Articles of Confederation, The Constitution of the United States (inclusive of the Bill of Rights), the Federalist Papers and the Anti-Federalist Papers, that you would find this extremely interesting.

If you were to get that far in your studies, I also suggest that you compare them to the 1819 United States Supreme Court Case of McCullock v. Maryland (opinion by Chief John Marshall) and the dissenting letters about that case by Madison and Jefferson.
