Guys aren't into feelings, guys are into solving problems. Girls are into feelings and emotions. If you push the issue you will fail with him. You need to understand that his motivation is to manage/solve a problem/situation, not pause and wonder how he "feels" about it. As much as society might try to feminize guys, you can't change basic nature.

It's mostly due to social conditioning. The book "I Don't Want To Talk About It" by Terrence Real does a good job of explaining much about male emotions.(or the seeming lack of them)

Guys are not connected to their feelings the same way as females are. We like it, we don't/ we want it, we don't/ it's OK when you come by, I am tensing up and uncomfortable.

A lot more "grunt" on the guys side. Simply put.
