Sadar City must be invaded in order to destroy the lairs of the insurgents. They can no longer operate if their stronghold is destroyed.

no the solution is to teach the everyday citizen to not be a pawn in the radicals war against the west. teach them how to live and fend for them selves and break the cycle of oppression and beat wife mentality. Teach the kids that the west is not the evil satan their leaders are saying we are and have them teach their kids. it will take time but that is the only way short of a nuclear war being that syria, saudia arabia, Iran and many other nations are intertwined in this. It is taking hold you can see by the last elections in Iran but it will take alot of work. The men and women are making this happen. Its not all fighting and death as the liberals and the media say but it will take time..

Al-Sadr. Sadr City. Muqtada happens to be closely tied to Maliki, who happens to be a Shiite ally of Iran. Sadr city is a slum of millions, slaughtering them would bring an immediate, severe backlash.

Well, it is an answer, but what are you going to do when the Shites all arise and start killing our guys? I know they are now to some extent but that might bring the whole thing down.

I think the solution is declare victory ( I seem to remember George already doing that) and split.
