Okay, why do men feel the need to yell at their wives in front of the children???

Because those guys are not real men, and they are insecure. If I am upset with my wife I NEVER raise my voice or yell at her in front of the kids.

Simply put, men don't care who is around when they need to vent. Yelling in front of the children isn't a good thing to do ever!! Children, no matter how small pick all this up. Talk to your husband when he calms down and let him no that this is not acceptable. If he is mad at you, wait until you are alone to discuss it. This will also allow you guys to talk more calmly about why he was so pissed.

It's temprament and the way they were raised a lot of the time. I don't think that people (let's not single out men) realize that after so much of that venting and raging, a simple apology and promise to do better won't suffice anymore and eventually a marriage will dissolve. Hopefully the kids aren't all messed up from it. It will probably be best if you let him know you won't be able to take that much any more. Be ready to take action if he keeps it up. You shouldn't have to endure that in spite of how much you love him when he's normal.

Men want to be the dominant force of the house, and will strive to make it look like they are exactly that. Even if it means to yell at their spouse in front of just about anyone.
You're hearing this from a man himself.
Next time he does it, ***** slap him.

i wouldnt really call someone who yells at his wife (whether in front of his children or not) a man. he needs some serious adjustments bc your children shouldnt be subjected to his behavior... they will grow up thinking it's acceptable and most likely do the same thing to their spouse.

The same reason women feel the need to berate and demasculate their husbands and boyfriends in front of the children. Its because they are idiots!

Set up some rules about when you fight. Make no yelling in front of the kids one of them.

Some people (because women do it too) lose control when they are angry and do foolish things such as yelling in front of the kids.

It is not a "guy" thing, it is a maturity thing. I used to have to tell my WIFE the same thing. There has to be a mutual level of respect to not belittle one another in front of the kids.
