Although the year it was built was 1995, this would be a 1996 truck as the model years start being built in late August or early September, if not sooner. The easiest way to tell without looking at it is to see the vehicle indentification number. The eighth digit is the motor code. A code K is a TBI 5.7 and a code R is a PFI 5.7. Or look under the hood. All 5.7L code K motors have what looks like the old style air filter housing on them. The 5.7L code R motors have a lot of intake plenum plumbing and a great big air filter housing on the right side front fender. Hope that helps.
