CA (formally Computer Associates) is a reputable company that puts out a decent but not outstanding product.

Your new security suite should protect your computer fine.

Personally I avoid all suites - opting to install the individual aps. Every suite I have come across has been overly bulky on system resources and loaded up with unnecessary features

Smaller name is often better because virus and other online criminals design their programs to detect and evade the big names like McAffe and Norton. Since I've never used Computer Associates virus product I wouldn't know how good it is.

If you want complete virus protection switch to Linux (ubuntu.com) or FreeBSD (even more secure)

AVG Free
the one you pay for might be a little bit better
