Radiator Fan Problems. Please help!?
I have a 95 Chevy Monte Carlo with 115 thousand miles. Its in pretty good shape and runs well. My passenger side engine fan wont spin. I just had it replaced and even replaced the relay/ fuse. It still wont run even when the driver side fan is running. What could be the problem. I just had the radiator replaced a few months ago too.
Another problem, everytime I drive my car the temperature gage jumps past the half way mark, no matter how long i let it warm up? It used to level out at the half way mark but now stays above it? When i stop at a light it climbs back up but goes back down. I thought it was because of the fan, does it sound like I have a cracked head gasket. What could it be? Thanks!

It's possible that there is a problem with the circuit to ground. Generally, the relay is activated by applying a ground on the opposing side of the relay coil. The ground is applied by the computer. You may have a bad wire or corroded contact on your computer plug. The simple fix is to just run a 12V line from the ignition to the fan. That way, the fan turns on every time you turn on the key. Good luck.

If the three relays are managed by way of a thermo change fastened contained in the radiator i might want to replace that change. in case your radiator fan is managed by way of an ECT sensor you want to be sure if there are 2 ECT sensors, one for the gauge or fool gentle and the different, the only you pick, is for the eu/fan activation. you are able to also leap the relays to envision the followers come on. i might want to pick a wiring diagram, try gentle and ohm meter to diagnose this without guessing. If the ECT or radiator fan change is below $25 i might want to easily positioned it in if no longer waiting to diagnose it properly. each so often throwing aspects at a project isn't the worst theory. For $25 I take the chance on your case.

1 ck to see if it comes on when you put your ac on. 2. it sounds like your thermostat is stuck open. 3. you can ck the fan with a ck light stick it in the wire to see if you are getting juice. if not the wire is broke. or un plug-ed. but the fan should work with the air on

perhaps your sensor is faulty for your gauge problem , the a/c comment seems to make sense as well , if your oil is not milky , and it is not blowing gobs of white smoke and the coolant level is good i would relax about the head gasket.
