IMO Myth, at least at this point. I am open to evidence but so far every case I have heard about has been explained scientifically to my satisfaction.
There was a case in England but the reports and witness statements don't mesh. The people with the victim should have been interrogated but never were. It is too late to do that investigation correctly so until I see something better the weak scientific explanation will have to do.

Absolutely myth. Every single case of alleged spontanious human combustion has been explained using real science and forensic detective work. The only people that believe in SHC are those who don't read both sides of the investigation.

it truly is no longer as spontanious as they could have you ever believe. the overall public of cases were said up on, and they have said a correlation: extremely extreme quantities of alcohol + coma from alcohol poisoning + cigarette = spontanious human combustion. once you get THAT poisoned, small quantities of ethanol will surely excrete out your pores of your pores and skin (no longer adequate that you will see that it, you're prepared to flavor it in case you sweat although, in spite of the undeniable fact that you will be in a coma so i'm no longer particular about that), and the cigarette will gentle it on hearth.

Complete myth. Totally impossible. Some people think that because Mitochondria "burn" glucose to create energy, the body can just burst into flame, but it's not LITERALLY burning.
