We English speakers know how many days in each month. How do the Spanish speakers know? Or the French, German or any other language. Are there similar ditties? Or how? Please fill me in.

A similar ditty exists in Swedish:

Trettio dagar har september,
April, juni och november
Februari tjugoåtta allen
Alla de övriga trettioen.

There is also a trick of putting your fists together fingers down and thumbs together, and counting on the knuckles and the space between them. A knuckle represents thirtyone days, and a 'valley' thirty (or less).
