I love "Are You Being Served?" and "Keeping Up Appearances," too! Very good, very good.

Personally I prefer British sitcoms to American ones. There are a few really good american sitcoms out there but there are ALOT of British ones (to name but a few):
-Only fools and horses (the best sitcom of all time and I'll bet alot of Brits would agree)
-vicar of dibley
-Ab Fab
-Men behaving badly
-Coupling
-birds of a feather
-gimme gimme gimme
-extras
-the office
-one foot in the grave
-the royle family
But it is sometimes hard to appreciate Brit sitcoms if youre not British - as they are usually so different in accent, dialogue and humor. And plus they are set in surroundings and backgrounds that the British public really identify with thus making it more funny to them.

I've seen a few, and they are groaner level at best. I enjoy drole dry humor now and then, but most of the stuff I can hardly enjoy due to the mumbling they call talking.
Don't get me wrong, I think there is MUCH left to be desired about american sitcoms as well.
I vote for stand up comedy as the best way to get a laugh.

I like coupling, we are addicted to british dramas more than the sitcoms...the best is footballers wives, mile high, no angels,
But i love mrs.bouquet!

Are you Being Served? and' ALLO ' ALLO and Faulty Towers very very funny with John CLeese of Monty Python fame all just great! These three are the top three in Briton for all time good viewing!
