I've heard it said that Charles may not even become King. That if his mother decides to step down she may pass it over the William. Which is part of why Charles was able to marry Camilla. (This is only rumor, I don't know how factual this is.)
The British aren't real fond of Prince Charles because of Diana but they feel he will make an excellent King. He's very well rounded and has always been more approachable and closer to the common people than his mum the Queen.
Diana was who the Brits really loved and they've transferred that love of her to William.
As far as Prince Phillip goes. I think he's called a King Consort. He would never be a "real" King and hold any real power. Once Charles was born, he became heir to the throne. If they had not had children and something had happened to the Queen, the royal line would have gone to another direct descendant. Phillip would have never been a King who rules the people and Parliament. He only married into the royal family and the title.

Prince Philip will never be able to take the throne because he is Queen Elizabeth's husband. Prince Charles may never take the throne because he probably won't out live his mother, the Queen, and Prince William is the rightful Heir to the throne, if he chooses to take the throne then it would pass to his children, the oldest and Harry would only be able to take the throne if William abdicated like his great uncle did in order to marry Wallace Simpson, and brother George took over the throne and then it was passed on to Elizabeth. ,

Prince Philip is not in line for the throne. Prince Charles in the heir, followed by William, then Henry.

Ummm, sweetie surely you mean Charles. Camilla will make an interesting queen. As for William, I hope he doesn't ascend to the throne until he is much older. He is a sweet young man who deserves whatever form of life he can eek out before that happens.

Ooo, I wonder what they would want? Does it really matter what the Britons want? It's a monarchy, there are rules they have to abide by, whether they or the people like it or not.
That Prince William is such a cutie!
By the way, per the fact that the marriage union was not blessed by the queen, Prince Charles (and Camilla) has denounced his throne according to the "rules"...so I was told.

Prince Charles will be great :) he has been raised to take the throne and prince william seems much too carefree and openminded to hold such a conservative position
