You should definitely go with a mac. First of all Vista is just a rip-off of Mac OSX, and if you do get a PC with Windows Vista, Microsoft is still going to have to fix all the bugs. Here are a few reasons why you should get a Mac: 1.) Macs are the most user friendly computers out there. Everything you need in a computer is already there, there's no hassle setting it up, and no loads of crap to install. 2.) All Macs come with iLife, software that people can actually use not that trial crap that PC's get bundled with. You get Safari, iChat, iTunes, iPhoto, iMovie, iDVD, GarageBand, iWeb, and a plethora of other useful applications. 3.) Macs hardly (practically never) get viruses or Crash. For the years that I've had my iMac, I've never gotten a virus, or experienced any difficulties like crashing. 4.) Macs can also run windows. With programs like Parallels, or BootCamp Macs will run windows applications just as well as any PC, that is if you happen to like using a less advanced operating system. 5.) and this may just be my opinion but Macs are dead sexy.

Well, anyway good luck

Personally I'd go with an Apple computer, Apple Mac OS Tiger is so far ahead of Windows XP it is not even funny. Also when Mac OS X Leopard comes out in Spring 2007 to compete with Windows Vista I presume it will blow the competition away. Also Apple computers are very stable, no viruses, and are just plain nice looking.

If money not an issue. Choose Dell with high end configurations. Windows Vista requires quite big space in your hard disk.
Go for Intel Core 2 Duo 2GHz 667MHz FSB, 2GB DDR-2 SDRAM, 512MB Graphic card, 120GB HDD 7200RPM, 8X DVD Burner.
I'm sure with this system you can make full use of Windows Vista and you can play all the latest games.

Get a Mac. Vista sucs to the core.
But you can use microsoft stuff on Mac. You can even get windows (but u need a new mouse then). Even in OS X, you can use MS-Office. But if you wanna have real fun, get a MacBook Pro. Then get Windows whatever you like (vista Ultimate, is the best, though expensive), and a microsoft compatible mouse. This way, you can have the best of both worlds, ULTIMATE media, and features universally used (Microsoft.) .
I did this. It works awesome, trust me. Get a mac. or preferrably Macbook Pro. I love my Mac!

Nico, I have used both for 15 years, and I love my MAC. I just bought the Macbook Pro and I love it. When ever I must remote into a clients WinTel machine all I have to do is press two buttons and I can switch over to Windows running in emulation. I am running MAC OS X, Windows and Linux all at the same time on my MAC. I can't do that on a WinTel machine, and they all run as if they were running natively.

You really should get Windows if you really want things to work on your computer: Windows has more programs that work on it. Mac is for very, very, basic beginners (learning how to type and use a mouse). Windows Vista's going to have lots of graphics, so if you don't really like boxy stuff, you may consider Windows. In the end, the choice is totally yours.
