im doing an essay on slaughterhouse-five and they mention the three musketeers a lot, just wondering

Yes, D'Artangan was the outsider-he was the 4th musketeer and also their Captain. The other 3 were the originals: Porthos, Athos, Aramis.

In the book, the three were Athos, Aramis, and Porthos. The main character of the book was d'Artagnan, who wanted to join the Musketeers, and ended up doing so at the end of the story.
