Seems like self-defeating behavior--verbalizing a desire to feel good about one's self but continuously behaving in a manner that prompts one to feel bad about one's self--coupled with people-pleasing tendencies. Sometimes we are people pleasers because in life we learned at some point that only when others are satisfied with us are we actually complete and deserving of happiness. Do you have a parent who is addicted? Controlling? Abusive? Did someone in your life hurt you or affect you in a way that left you with little self-worth? Try to realize you cannot love anyone or find true happiness without inner peace.

Wow, that's a weirdly worded question.

It basically means that no matter what, you must work for the better of the community/team rather than for the betterment of yoru own standing.

For example, a mother would save her baby if it meant killing herself. Well... That's not a really great one but I guess it gets the point across.

Maybe you do more for others than you would do for yourself? Maybe you should make sure you do for yourself too?
