Your question really isn't set up well to get an answer that will work for you. You don't say if he likes to wear the diapers, or have you wear the diapers. You don't say if he likes to be the one spanked, or the one doing the spanking.

Expanding on baka_otaku30' response, get some adult diapers, dress him in it, and discuss it with him wearing them. If you can get some cheap adult plastic pants in addition may get you bonus points.
Having some powerful laxatives ready may be a good idea, water is always at hand.
Make him sleep on a plastic sheet though if there is any overnight waiting involved.
You probably know when he uses the bathroom, tell him that it's not allowed until later.
Keep the spanking as punishment for soiling the diaper.
