I would have to agree with you.
We have problems of our own, we shouldn't be trying to solve everyone elses problems.
They wouldn't help us, hell they all want us dead.
why should we try to do anything good for them when all they do is bad for us?
Bush really wants us to think that we are helping the people there.
but, he wants the oil... the money the glorification of doing something that is suposedly heroic.
what a ******' idiot

The real question is how do we leave Iraq with the knowledge that we won't be back there two or three years from now, or less, protecting our allies in the region when the war gets even more serious than it is now.
The mid-east has always been one of the most violent places in the world. When we leave there is every reason to believe the violence will just escolate, and we'll be back fighting and losing more Americans.

This is a game of chess this is not just to help the people in iraq. Our objective is not just to help that is just an excuse as of right now but motives are way more complicated. Some may argue that motives are oil some might argue just to have power in the middle east. Regardless of what it is I am not completly aginst or for war it has cons and pros just like everything thing else in the world but the question that one needs to ask one self is does it have more pros or cons? So in order to make a complete judgement about war we need to know the true motives.

Sick of this war or not a lot of our young men and women have lost their lives and I'm sure we'll lose many more before this war it over-this is reality for the military personnel over there. It is important that we support their efforts as it is not their choice to be there and many of them will never come home again. It doesn't matter if were sick of the war or not-it's important that we pray for the men and women who are fighting it everyday.

It's hard work.
Epitaph On An Army of Mercenaries
These, in the day when heaven was falling,
The hour when earth's foundations fled,
Followed their mercenary calling
And took their wages and are dead.
Their shoulders held the sky suspended;
They stood, and earth's foundations stay;
What God abandoned, these defended,
And saved the sum of things for pay.

Yes we can be the world's policeman because we are already the world's lifesaver in many ways. We must!!!! We have the best life of freedom known to man and dare not refuse to share it or we will lose it. I am sick of chickens....I would go over there in a heart beat!

If people would actually do a little research on the history of the middle east....they would find this war will not be won. Many countries before us tried...and failed. They will go back to the way it was before we got there. Wait and see......

As I recall, it's -our- mess. We invaded Iraq to put down Saddam Hussein's regime. Had we simply left him alone, the mess of hit squads and sectarian violence would not be there now.

Was it not George Washington, one of our best presidents, that said NOT to get caught up in foreign affairs?
