hmm... I'd work on claustraphobics to people who are afraid of heights and vice versa. Also try to find links between peoples fears of creepy crawlies and their past lives,
for example, my brother is deathly afraid of bees because he tripped off the top of an old chicken house, his shirt got stuck on 2 or 3 nails and he was scared he was going to fall, so of course kicked and screamed, not knowing there was a hornet nest where he was kicking, he ended up getting stung 17 times all over his stomach and neck. Now hes deathly afraid of them and unstable buildings.
also, I have a fear of witnessing a death or being killed. I take a gun with me everywhere (well, except church) and have been through 6 different self-defense classes.

From what I know, public speaking is many peoples greatest fear. I saw on the news that a lot of people actually WOULD rather die!
Oh, and I used to be afraid of hands grabbing me from under the bed. I jumped to bed until I was about 20, still being scared that I might get grabbed.

Young children are often afraid of the dark, monsters hiding in the closet, thunderstorms. As people age, they become afraid of death, pain, the unknown, being made fun of.
And then there's me:
spiders
flying

I never have been fond of snakes at any age. I think when I was young, fear of embarrassment was huge. Now, my biggest fear is weather and height related. Don't like tornados and high, narrow bridges. Not so frightened of death itself, but I wouldn't want to fall a long way and die that way.

Starting from 3rd grade going up to 8th grade.......Strangers. Newness. (The unknown). To be singled out in school (teacher calls on you for the answer or to demonstrate a skill. To be embarrased in front of their peers. The dark. Spiders. Heights. To be left out of the group. To not belong. To feel different from their peer group.

Personally, i am afraid of geckos aka lizards.
5 of the girls in my work place are afraid of them too. mostly because some of the geckos came into contact with them when they were young (climbing over their feet, dropping onto them etc.. )
i am now 28 years old.. when there is thunder, i still rush to my mom when she is around. : p

Monsters and ghosts in the closet, under the bed, behind the couch......
I never realized how stupid that was----I was never scared of anything that could actually hurt me.
Good luck on your project.
